Faculty
Q. What are the requisites for a good faculty?
  • CAT training requires focus on English and Mathematics.
  • A drive to learn, patience, academic depth and an ability to guide and advise students would be the basic qualities to be looked for in any faculty.
  • A person who has cleared the IIMs clearly qualifies as a faculty as he would surely demonstrate a strength in either English or Mathematics.
  • Other than an MBA an English faculty could be an M.A.(English) or a B.Ed with English as the teaching subject. They must have good communication & interactive skills and an understanding of teaching English as a language. Persons with corporate experience with the necessary background can also be considered.
  • Math faculty could be M.Sc. (Mathematics or Statistics) with experience in teaching in colleges or similar educational institutions with in-depth knowledge in the subject.
  • Though the above profile of candidates would be very string in their academic content they would lack the skills required which is tested in CAT. A proper orientation is required to explain the importance of speed and short cut techniques.
Q. What assistance can you provide for recruiting faculty?

ERUDITE will assist during short-listing and interviewing candidates. After recruitment every faculty will go through the comprehensive training program designed by us that will ensure that he/she meets with our quality standards.

Q. What do you cover in the training module?

"Inner Circle" which is our Faculty Training Module is divided into an Off-site and an On-Site Module.

Off-site training introduces the faculty to the content which he would be teaching in due course of time. The faculty is expected to go over certain chapters of a few recommended books. It would also cover Class assignments, home assignments which faculty would need to walk through.

The On-Site Module conducted at H.O. makes the Faculty go through a formal training through use of Video Sessions. Various parameters including content and delivery are focused on which help the faculty improve in their verbal ability and overall confidence in handling classes. A 15 days material orientation & class structure training is imparted which helps the faculty familiarize themselves with course contents. Subsequently MOCK sessions are held with feedback and assessment given to faculty with inputs on areas where they need to improve on.

Finally faculty is put through on-the-job training with feedback from students after every classroom session.

Q. What assistance can you provide in case a faculty leaves without any advance notice?

In case of a situation where faculty leaves the first objective would be to ensure continuity. For this purpose, ideally the Center Manager should act as faculty and step in. If necessary we will provide you with temporary faculty from our center who will come and teach.
